In 2022 we had the pleasure of starting stewardship at Bob and Cathy Ides beautiful property in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on the Garden Creek watershed. Some of our services for the Ides have been cleaning over 50 large and small Narrowleaf Cottonwoods, Populus angustifolia, And digging to the water table to replant/establish more Cottonwood cuttings, (taken from the property) to replace the dead trees we craned out from areas that experienced extreme dieback from drought years. Because of our light footprint we were able to preserve what was left of the dominant and subdominant species in the drought stressed watershed area. Additionally, all brush and logs from the Ides property stewardship along with previous years trimmings was tub ground into mulch to be utilized around the ranch, or made into firewood.
